POST CONCERT MESSAGE
FROM JACOB - EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR
On Saturday, March 18th, the Alpharetta Symphony Orchestra presented, Sounds of a Mediterranean Spring which featured The Atlanta Guitar Trio & pianist Dr. Dawn Hawk – the whole evening truly was a lovely and magical experience. Also featured, was the debut of middle school composer Brian Shon’s piece en titled “Nightingale’s Anthem”. The concert was the perfect opportunity to support Brian as he in turn supported us by sharing his creative talents.

We are grateful for the all the time ,committed by the musicians, to make the night a great success . Our gratitude is also extended to our generous event s ponsor Advanced Disposal, Inc. and t he large audience who brought in a great amount of energy to the event. When all was said and done, Sounds of a Mediterranean Spring, raised almost $7,000.00 to help Family Promise of Forsyth County, Inc. empower families out of homelessness and into hopefulness. With our service model, however, based on the efforts of 13 host congregations , several support churches , and numerous community volunteers, for every dollar we receive in donations, Family Promise is able to put $3.00 in direct services back into the community . Through this concert alone , approximately $21,000 of direct services are able to go to families in need of a helping hand, friendly support, a source of encouragement , and empowerment to find 'sustainable independence.'
