Our Board of Trustees is a dynamic group of professionals from diverse backgrounds, all united by a common mission: to empower guest families toward sustainable independence through Family Promise’s innovative programs.

 

Our Commitment and Role

Each board member serves as part of our governing body, volunteering their time on one or more committees alongside passionate community volunteers. We are dedicated to supporting our Executive Director and staff—ensuring they have the time and freedom to focus on what matters most: family.

 

Active and Engaged Governance

• Staggered Terms: Board members serve three-year terms, with one-third of the board rotating annually. This approach brings in fresh perspectives while preserving the invaluable experience of our longstanding members.

• Monthly Meetings & Committee Involvement: We meet monthly and offer opportunities to serve on committees in areas such as Human Resources, Public Relations, Programs, Congregational Care/Affiliate Relations, Finance, Fund Development, and Board Development. As a newer chapter of the Family Promise national organization, our board is actively engaged in shaping our mission—not just setting policy.
